Available Positions
Assistant Rental Leader: $13-15/HR
This role is ideal for:
- High school students looking for summer/weekend work
- College students home for summer, spring, and fall breaks
- Anyone looking for seasonal, weekend-based work to earn extra income
Duties:
- Deliveries and Tear Downs – As an Assistant Rental Leader, you will assist in delivering, setting up and subsequently, tearing down inflatables and other rental equipment. You may also have to communicate proper operation and safety guidelines as well as have them sign contracts and collect payment. On a typical day, you will deliver and pick up anywhere between 3-10 different events. Sometimes the equipment is picked up and the evening and sometimes it is picked up on different days. Shifts can last anywhere from 3-12 hours, maybe more, depending on the number of rentals in a given day.
- Cleaning and Preparation – You will be required to clean upon set up. Make sure the inflatables are dried, swept, and sanitized. There will also be some days throughout the week when additional cleaning is required. You may also be asked to help with loading and emptying trailers before and after events.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Work all weekends, weekdays, nights, and HOLIDAYS when needed
- Work on a seasonal sometimes sporadic schedule. There will be weekends when you are not needed
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Have your own transportation to/from work and be on time. there is little tolerance for being late as we are typically on a tight schedule
- Be able to take directions and receive constructive criticism
- Work well with others. Laugh and have a good time while also remaining professional when on site
Pay:
- Pay is based on experience, reliability and most importantly, work ethic. There will be a $5 bonus for every positive google review we get from a delivery you were on and all tips will be split evenly between you and the driver.
Rental Leader: $16-20/HR ($13/HR while in training)
This role is ideal for:
- Responsible high school students who are at least 18 years of age
- College students home for summer, spring, and fall breaks.
- Anyone looking for seasonal, weekend-based work to earn extra income
Duties:
- Deliveries and Tear Downs – As the Rental Leader, you will be in charge of making sure your truck/trailer are loaded with the proper equipment needed for deliveries on a given day. You will also be in charge of driving safely to and from locations, setting up inflatables and other party equipment. You will need to delegate responsibilities and manage all other employees on site during set up and tear down and make sure proper safety and cleaning procedures are being followed at said event. It will be your responsibility to take the customer through the proper operation and safety guidelines, sign any contracts or paperwork that has not yet been completed, and collect payment if needed. Once you have the proper training and feel comfortable with all of your own duties as a rental leader, you may be asked to train a new assistant rental leader or a new rental leader. On a typical day may be asked to do setup and tear down anywhere from 1-12 different rentals (sometimes pickups can be on a different day). A shift may last anywhere from 2-12 hours, sometimes longer, on a given day. You are in charge. It is your responsibility to make sure all company policies and safety procedures are being followed. It is also your responsibility to make sure employees are staying on task and staying busy. The most important thing is the safety of everyone involved and customer happiness!
Responsibilities and Requirements: (Majority of this will be learned through training. You will ride along and help with events as an assistant rental leader until we feel you are capable of running your own crew)
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Learn all C&K Party Rentals booking software and feel comfortable booking a new client, and/or make changes to current bookings
- Be 18 and have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to drive a truck and enclosed trailer competently (16ft.). If you are not capable of driving a truck and trailer but willing to learn. We will have you be an assistant rental leader and train you when we have time. You will have to be completely competent and confident in driving said truck and trailer before we would be willing to let you drive one on your own!
- Work all weekends, weekdays, nights, and HOLIDAYS when needed
- Work on a seasonal and sometimes sporadic schedule. There will be weekends when you are not needed
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, without supervision
- Be on time and better yet, early! We have very tight schedules and it is your job to make sure your truck, trailer and crew are ready to go for the day
- Run an event smoothly. Delegate tasks to employees and make sure customers are happy and more importantly safe
- Train new employees correct procedures during setup and tear down
- Give feedback to employees and make sure everyone is efficient
- Keep Trucks organized and clean
- Make sure all trucks have fuel in them and do not run out while they are in your possession
- Check all vehicles before leaving for set ups. Make sure you have everything you need. If you have to run back to the shop it makes you behind for the entire day. Things happen, we just want to minimize them
- Safety checks before leaving on all sites. Make sure the customers are safe and happy
- Weekly check-ins with owners. Make sure employees you supervise, and you, are meeting C&K Party Rentals standards
Pay:
- Pay is based on experience, reliability, and most importantly, work ethic. Base pay while training will be $13/HR. Once we feel as though you are ready to take on your own crew, pay will increase to at least $16/HR. There will be a$5 bonus for every positive google review we get from a delivery you were a part of and all tips will be split even with whoever is on your crew during set up AND delivery.
